Students that attend Mission Heights Preparatory High School are encouraged to enroll in courses at Central Arizona College for dual credit either during the summer or during the school year in the evening.
Most classes taught at CAC will not only count for college credit that will transfer to a university after graduation, but will also count as high school credit.
Students that have signed the Promise for the Future agreement in 8th grade are eligible to take up to 35 credits for free during high school (after they have completed their Sophomore year).

Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology (CAVIT) classes are offered to high school juniors and seniors to prepare them for a specific trade. This allows students to enter the workforce immediately after high school graduation or to pursue further education at a community college or four-year university. CAVIT classes are free for current students and count towards CTE and elective credits. CAVIT offers the following programs:
Automated Industrial Technology
Forensics/Crime Scene Investigation
Medical Records Technology
Patient Care Technician
